The Perfectionist
Country of origin: Syria
The film accompanies a special man as he takes two parallel journeys. The scientist, towards breaking out with a career-shifting success; and the man's, towards embracing the core meaning of life that is not defined by nationalities, languages, religious or even science. As he shuttles between the most sophisticated lab and the poorest villages, Rami seems to be over-exhausted not by his scientific research and the promising success alone, but by his need for realizing a balance between his new identity, as a German, and his original one as a Syrian. His trip seems endless, between his parent's apartment that he left 10 years ago and his new home Germany.
