BIOGRAPHY
Siam is an Egyptian documentary and fiction filmmaker working in the independent field.
After studying psychology briefly then cinema, Siam took numerous courses/trainings in filmmaking including scriptwriting, cinematography, editing & animation.
He previously worked as a film director, producer & first assistant director in several Egyptian and international productions, such as "The City Of The Dead", a French Spanish co-production feature documentary film funded by Canal Plus. The film was premiered in IDFA 2009 and is the winner of "The Best Film Award" in Documentai Madrid 2010.
Siam also researched a full-length documentary film in Sudan about the civil war before the referendum, to be shot later next year.
He also directed 4 short narrative & documentary films, including "For Women Only", a documentary depicting a veiled girl's daily life.
Recently, Siam was accepted in the acclaimed film school FAMU in Prague, Czech Republic.

The film is set in the heart of the Arab spring, Egypt during and after the revolution.
The story follows a policeman confessing for the tortures, corruptions and violence he committed in his daily job with the past regime against civilians in Cairo city.
Ahmed our policeman has a lot to tell us during this journey while looking for his kidnapped brother during the unrest of last February.
